The Carmel Mission is known not only
for its beauty but it historical significance.
The Carmel Mission Basilica is recognized
as the national shrine to Father Junipero
Serra. It has become one of the more
popular sites for weddings. The Carmel
Mission is open to the public Monday
through Saturday from 9:30 AM – 5:00
PM and from 10:30 AM – 5:00 PM
on Sunday. Please call the Mission at
(831) 624 1271, extension 210 to check
on the holiday schedule. The all-inclusive
admission fee to tour the Mission grounds,
Basilica and Museums is a follows: Adults:
$5; Seniors: $4; Children under 17: $1.
